Tilde vs Nango

The short answer

Nango started as the integration layer for software products and now serves agents too. It manages auth for more than a thousand APIs, syncs data, runs custom TypeScript functions and exposes actions as MCP tools.

Tilde overlaps on auth and tools, but it's built for running agents rather than building product integrations. It adds runtime guardrails, identity for agents, approvals, and the channels and voice that put agents in front of people.

Nango has a large API catalog, code-first TypeScript functions you can customise, and a white-label connect experience your users will see as your own. Tokens are refreshed before they expire, and credentials never reach the agent.

It's SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA ready, and its source is public. For teams building integrations into their own product as well as for agents, that combination is hard to beat.

Where Tilde is different

Nango connects software to APIs. Tilde runs agents safely against them, and connects those agents to people.

• Integrations without the plumbing. Create MCP tool servers from our catalog of SaaS providers, proxy an existing MCP server, or forward requests to your own API.
• Credentials you don't have to build. Tilde handles OAuth, API keys and custom authentication, including encryption and rotation.
