Tilde vs Composio

The short answer

Composio and Tilde overlap more than most tools in this space. Both let an agent call third-party apps without you building OAuth flows or storing tokens, and both serve those tools over MCP.

The difference is scope. Composio focuses on the integration layer and does it at a large scale. Tilde treats integrations as one part of running agents in production, alongside runtime guardrails, identity, approvals, channels and voice.

Composio has one of the largest agent integration catalogs available, and its sessions and meta-tools keep an agent's context small even with many apps connected. It works with a wide range of clients, from Claude Code and Cursor to ChatGPT.

It's SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, encrypts tokens at rest, and has a generous free tier. Its SDKs are open source under MIT in Python and TypeScript.

Where Tilde is different

Tool calls are one part of running agents in production. Tilde covers the rest of the path too: what goes in and out of the agent, who it acts for, what needs approval and where people talk to it.

• Integrations without the plumbing. Create MCP tool servers from our catalog of SaaS providers, proxy an existing MCP server, or forward requests to your own API.
• Credentials you don't have to build. Tilde handles OAuth, API keys and custom authentication, including encryption and rotation.
• Security middleware on every agent. Tilde blocks jailbreak attempts and redacts personal information (PII) in agent inputs and outputs.

Using Composio and Tilde together

Some teams use Composio for breadth of apps and Tilde for the control layer and channels. Tilde can proxy upstream MCP servers, so tools served elsewhere can sit behind Tilde's security middleware, permissions and approvals.

Which should you choose?

• Choose Composio if the size of the app catalog is your deciding factor and your agents mainly need tool calls.
